MOBILE ASSISTANCE PATROL (MAP)
Mobile Assistance Patrol (MAP) is a van outreach & transportation system dispatched 24 hours daily, year-round, in San Francisco, providing over 30,000 transports and outreach contacts to homeless individuals. MAP vans respond to a variety of requests including transportation requests for individuals who are under the influence and in need of help, homeless individuals needing assistance with referrals and in accessing services, other service providers and residents. MAP also responds to radio contacts from emergency medical services and the San Francisco Police Department. Additionally, MAP vans provide transportation services for the homeless clients of San Francisco’s adult and family homeless shelters, urgent care clinics, the MedicalRespite & SoberingCenter and outreach services to those at-risk on the streets.
