AIDS WALK SAN FRANCISCO Raises Almost $10,000
by Janet Goy, CATS Executive Director

This year’s AIDS Walk was a huge success. Despite a difficult economy, through board and staff solicitations we raised over $9,800 beating last year’s amount. All members of the team are to be heartily congratulated for their successful fundraising efforts. The team gathered at our Community Awareness & Treatment Services’ Table for snacks and camaraderie before taking off for the 6.2 mile walk through beautiful Golden Gate Park. These funds support A Woman’s Place HIV+/AIDS Program for chronically homeless women with this condition. The money is needed now more than ever as federal funds continue to dwindle.
